This track focuses on mechanisms and clinical aspects of brain aging and neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and related dementias. Presentations will cover synaptic dysfunction, protein aggregation, neuroinflammation, vascular contributions, and glial cell roles in cognitive decline. Neurodegeneration, Dementia and Brain Aging Biomarkers including neuroimaging, cerebrospinal fluid measures, blood-based markers, and digital cognitive assessments will be discussed. The session will highlight disease-modifying and preventive strategies, from pharmacologic agents to lifestyle interventions, and their translation into clinical practice. Contributions that integrate basic mechanistic insights with clinical trials, real-world data, and multidomain approaches to preserve cognitive function in aging populations are encouraged.
