This Cardiometabolic and Vascular Aging session addresses the interplay of aging with cardiometabolic disease and vascular pathology. Topics include arterial stiffness, endothelial dysfunction, microvascular rarefaction, and myocardial remodeling across the lifespan. The track will examine how aging biology intersects with hypertension, atherosclerosis, diabetes, dyslipidemia, and obesity to shape cardiovascular risk. Presentations will highlight biomarkers, imaging tools, and risk prediction models tailored to older adults. Interventional studies targeting cardiometabolic and vascular aging—pharmacologic, nutritional, and lifestyle-based—will be discussed, with emphasis on outcomes such as functional capacity, disability, and survival. The goal is to integrate geroscience principles into cardiovascular prevention and management strategies.
