Musculoskeletal Aging - WALC 2026

Dear Colleagues and Friends. Welcome to the World Aging & Longevity Conference (WALC 2026) !  Without a doubt, recent advances in research have revolutionized numerous medical fields. But, how did this occur? Was your research part of these advancements? Have we innovated and commercialized such research enough? Are companies paying attention to this wonderful research? Are Universities helping you? What about your federal funding agencies? And, most importantly, are you in the right environment to innovate and commercialize your research? In my own experience, above all else, it takes a supportive environment. Find the right community. Find this conference. I left the very negative, ultra-competitive, stifling Northeastern University in Boston over 5 years ago. I have never seen such negative, cut-throat, and miserable people in my 30 year career ! Only after I moved did I find a truly supportive environment that allowed me to form over a dozen companies and yes, I found truly supportive people who value me and my contributions. Because I left Northeastern University, I have since commercialized my chemical engineering research into medical devices now in over 45,000 patients with no failures, only success !  So, I encourage everyone to find that right environment. Make that move. And attend the right conferences: WALC 2026 is such a conference where you will meet the right people ! And be inspired, not discouraged like I was at Northeastern University for far too long ! I, and the patients I have helped, wish we could get those years back ! It will change your life once you make the commitment to surround yourself with positive people.  I know, because I lived it. I look forward to seeing everyone to further share my story and give you that “positive” boost !

Yours Sincerely

Longevity Care - WALC 2026

Dear Esteemed Colleagues. Distinguished Speakers, and Guests. On behalf of the organising committee, it is a great pleasure to welcome you to the World Aging & Longevity Conference (WALC 2026), taking place from October 08–10, 2026 in Tokyo, Japan, with hybrid participation enabling global engagement. This year’s theme, 'Global Strategies for Healthy Aging and Sustainable Longevity,' reflects a critical inflection point in the field. Scientific advances in genomics, regenerative medicine, AI-driven discovery, and personalised healthcare are accelerating at an unprecedented pace. Yet, a fundamental challenge remains: translating this innovation into consistent, scalable, real-world outcomes. WALC 2026 brings together leaders across academia, biopharma, healthcare, and technology to address this challenge from multiple dimensions. Through keynote lectures, panel discussions, and collaborative sessions, we will explore not only the biology of aging, but the systems required to deliver longevity at scale. A central theme emerging across disciplines is that longevity is no longer defined solely by scientific discovery, but by the capability of complex systems to execute under increasing levels of demand and interdependency. As innovation accelerates, the ability to design, align, and sustain these systems becomes a critical determinant of impact. The conference will cover a wide spectrum of topics, including molecular and cellular mechanisms of aging, regenerative and stem cell therapies, neurodegenerative disease, metabolic and cardiovascular health, precision medicine, and AI-enabled healthcare. In parallel, we will explore the structural, organisational, and digital dimensions required to support these advances, from healthcare delivery models to workforce capability and system resilience. WALC 2026 is designed as an interactive platform to exchange knowledge, foster collaboration, and advance cross-disciplinary solutions that enhance healthy aging globally. It is through this integration of science, technology, and system design that we will move closer to realising the full potential of longevity innovation. We sincerely thank you for your participation and look forward to welcoming you to a stimulating and impactful conference.

Digital Health in Aging - WALC 2026

Dear Colleagues and Friends. It is an honor, to welcome you on behalf of the Scientific Committee to World Aging & Longevity Conference (WALC 2026), which will be held as a hybrid event from October 8-10, 2026, in Tokyo, Japan, and Online. WALC 2026 will address the Global Strategies for Healthy Aging and Sustainable Longevity,” WALC 2026 will focus on collaborative approaches and transformative research shaping the future of healthspan and longevity in the context of the ongoing transformation of health and social care ecosystem. Thereby, we have to integrate research, technology, care practice and prevention, based on the latest advancements and inventive approaches, also considering equity and sustainability. The healthcare paradigm advanced from empiric and phenomenological through evidence-based and person-centered medicine to personalized, preventive, predictive, participative precision medicine (P5M). Thereby, we must consider and understand the individual health status, conditions and genetic and genomic dispositions in personal social, occupational, environmental and behavioral context at any level from elementary particles up to society and universe. This requires the inclusion of actors from multiple domains as well as the subject of care with their own methodologies, languages, ontologies, education and skills. I have developed the model and framework for managing integration and interoperability in such highly complex, dynamic, context-aware, multi-disciplinary transformed healthcare ecosystem, meanwhile standardized in ISO 23903. Because of its formal and foundational nature, the methodology is not restricted to health and social care, but has been successfully deployed already in many other domains, such as pharmaceutical research and development, nanotechnology, environmental sciences, education, etc. Welcoming you in Tokyo, I’m sure that this conference will provide an excellent platform to discuss trends, innovations, and best practices in healthy aging, healthcare technologies, research and education. So enjoy a successful event.

Yours Sincerely
