Title : Changes in well-being, energy levels, and perceived healthy aging following participation in a longevity wellness IV program among Filipino adults: A prospective pilot study
Abstract:
Healthy aging has emerged as a major public health priority as populations continue to age worldwide. Alongside this trend, wellness-oriented intravenous (IV) therapies have gained popularity in preventive health settings despite limited evidence regarding their effects on patient-reported outcomes among generally healthy adults. In the Philippines, local data examining the potential impact of wellness IV programs on well-being, perceived healthy aging, participant satisfaction, and safety remain scarce. This prospective single-arm pilot study aims to evaluate changes in well-being, energy levels, and perceived healthy aging among Filipino adults participating in a structured Longevity Wellness IV Program. Forty (40) eligible adult participants will be recruited through convenience sampling from a wellness clinic in Bulacan, Philippines. Participants will receive intravenous glutathione (600 mg diluted in 100 mL normal saline solution) administered once weekly for four consecutive weeks under medical supervision. Baseline and post-intervention assessments will be conducted using the World Health Organization-Five Well-Being Index (WHO-5), self-reported energy level ratings, and perceived age measures. Participant satisfaction, willingness to continue participation, and safety outcomes will also be evaluated following completion of the intervention. Descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, will be used to summarize participant characteristics and study outcomes. Paired t-tests will be employed to determine significant differences between pre-intervention and post-intervention measurements. This study seeks to provide preliminary Philippine evidence regarding the feasibility, participant-reported outcomes, acceptability, and safety of a structured longevity wellness IV program. Findings may contribute to the growing body of literature on preventive health, healthy aging, and wellness medicine while informing future larger-scale investigations and randomized controlled trials.
